Privacy Policy
FuelJot does not collect your data. There is no account to create, no server to sync with, and no analytics of any kind.
The short version: everything you type into FuelJot stays on your iPhone or iPad. The app contains no networking code, so it cannot send your records anywhere even if it wanted to. Your data leaves the device only when you export it yourself.
What we collect
Nothing. FuelJot has no accounts, no sign-up, no login, no telemetry, no crash reporting service, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party SDKs.
Where your records are stored
Your vehicles, fill-ups, service records and settings are saved in a single file inside the app's private storage on your device. That storage is sandboxed by iOS: no other app can read it.
If you have iCloud Backup enabled in iOS Settings, that file is included in your device backup, the same as any other app's data. Those backups are handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy terms — we have no access to them.
Camera and photo access
FuelJot can read numbers from a pump display, a receipt, or your odometer so you don't have to type them.
- Recognition runs entirely on your device, using Apple's Vision framework built into iOS.
- Images are never uploaded anywhere. They are not stored by the app after you close the scanner.
- The app asks for camera or photo library permission only when you tap a scan button, and works fine if you decline — you can always type the number yourself.
Buying Plus
FuelJot Plus is a one-time purchase sold through the App Store. Payment is handled entirely by Apple.
Apple tells the app whether a purchase exists. It does not give us your name, email address, payment details, or any other personal information. We never see who has bought it.
If you write to us
The Settings screen has a feedback link that opens an email to support@getfueljot.com. Before sending, the app fills in a few technical lines — app version, iOS version, device model, and how many records you have — so we can reproduce problems. You can see and delete those lines before you send. They contain none of your entries, locations, or personal details.
If you do email us, we keep that message only as long as it takes to answer you.
Children
FuelJot is a general-purpose utility rated 4+. It collects no data from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export and delete personal data held about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to hand over or erase.
Your own copy is always available to you: CSV export is free, forever, whether you buy Plus or not. Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date below. If a future version of the app ever collects anything at all, that will be stated here plainly and disclosed in the App Store privacy labels before the update ships.
